How does this work?
My Customers are in control. The exact research
target (mission, objective or goals) and how long
I perform research for you is completely at your
discretion.
What do we do first?
In order to start a genealogical research project,
clients are asked to discuss the following information
via phone, postal mail or e-mail:
- State the research goals. For instance, give
a precise explanation of the research to be
conducted. This includes names, dates, etc.
- State what facts you already have related
to the research target(s).
- List any sources you've already referenced.
I don't want to wate time checking the same
sources unless you want a double-check validation
of the information.
What process is used?
I have a vast array of resources at my disposal,
many millions of records and thousands of books.
To actually do a complete and thorough search
of every last one of them would take a long time
– more than anyone is generally prepared to spend.
So, what I do first is evaluate the research goal(s)
you set.
I determine the most likely sources to accomplish
the desired result in the shortest amount of time.
For instance, if you purchase four hours of my
time; I’d determine the most appropriate sources
and then dive as deep as I can within the time
allotted. Working with a variety of sources on
a consistent basis gives me a wealth of knowledge
of what they contain. If I determine that a search
for the information you need cannot be succesfsully
accomplished, you'll be notified and all fees
will be returned.
At the end of the time contracted, research findings
are documented. They include every source checked
and the results, including citable sources for
information found.
In addition, I provide you with professional recommendations
regarding where future research can be focused
to help move it forward. If you decide you’d like
to purchase additional time to further the research,
I’ll gladly complete those next steps for you.

of ethics of our association by promoting a coherent,
truthful approach to genealogy, family and local
history. I present my research results and opinions
in a clear, well organized manner, fully and accurately
citing references. I never withhold, suppress
or knowingly misquote sources or data. Part of
my job is to promote the integrity, trust and
security of using a professional in my relationship
with my Customers.

be found, because until the research is
completed, one does not know if information
